Rye.

It is almost 2:oo am.  AFter having a night of drunk dialed phone calls from my much missed friends, and hanging out at Dunkin’ Donuts prior to that with my live-in-the-same-town-as-me friends, I was also able to finish reading The Catcher in the Rye.  This probably has something to do with the giant coffee I gulped down around 10:00.

Now, let me first preclude my next paragraph by saying this–I don’t care.  I don’t care that The Catcher in the Rye is a ‘dirty, obscene book.’  I don’t care that it is one of those ‘boring classics.’  I don’t care that there wasn’t much going on and I don’t care that its nihilistic.  I still believe that it was one of the funniest books that I have read in a long time.  Everything was so dry and snarky and sarcastic.  I could hardly go a page without laughing out loud, if you want to know the truth.  It was funny as hell.  Boy, it killed me-it really did.

Though, now that it is late, the coffee is starting to wear off.  I figure that it is probably a sign that I should go to sleep.
