Facebook Charged With Murder
I can’t say that I am really that surprised. I mean, it was only a matter of time until it happened. Out of all the reasons that people fight, of all the motives for murder, this was bound to occur sooner or later. And it looks like yesterday was the day.
Thats right. A man stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver over–wait for it–her Facebook relationship status. Apparently, they had not been getting along all that well and, after he moved out, she quickly changed her status from ‘married’ to ‘single.’ I mean, honestly, what was she thinking? Only 3 days after he moves out she’s all of a sudden ‘single?’ I can’t say that she didn’t have it coming.
In the following police interview, her now widowed husband said “Emma and I had just split up. She forced me out. She then posted messages on an internet website telling everyone she had left me and was looking to meet other men. I loved Emma and felt totally devastated and humiliated about what she had done to me.” And then he proceeded to stab her to death. What a doll.
